CUET UG photo and signature resizer

CUET (UG) asks for a recent colour passport size photo, with your face filling 80% of it on a white background, and your signature, both as JPG/JPEG. These sizes are from NTA's CUET (UG) 2026 bulletin; the 2027 bulletin isn't out yet, so check it when it is. Free, no sign-up, and your files stay on your device.

CUET also captures a live photo with your webcam or phone camera (or by scanning a QR code) while you fill in the form. Keep prints of the photo you upload: one is pasted on the attendance sheet at the exam centre. These are the 2026 rules; check the 2027 bulletin when it's out.

Tips so your form isn't rejected

  • Photo

A recent, real photo: face straight to the camera, light or white background, no cap or dark glasses, no shadows. Don't use filters or AI-edited photos.

  • Signature

Sign in black ink on plain white paper, in your usual handwriting (IBPS rejects capital letters). Photograph it flat in daylight, then crop close before resizing.

  • Live photo (SSC, IBPS, UPSC)

Sit facing a window or a light, in front of a plain wall. Remove your cap and spectacles, look straight at the camera, and never hold up a printed photo.

Questions

What is the CUET UG photo size?
In the 2026 bulletin: a recent colour passport size photo as a JPG/JPEG of 10–200 KB, with your face filling 80% of it, ears visible and no mask, on a white background. NTA gives no pixel size, so the resizer makes it 350 × 450 pixels.
What is the CUET UG signature size?
A clearly legible JPG/JPEG of 10–50 KB. That's a smaller limit than JEE Main's 10–100 KB, so resize it for CUET separately.
Does CUET also take a live photo?
Yes. The form captures a live photo with your webcam or phone camera, or by scanning a QR code with your phone. Use a light background and good light, with 80% of your face, ears included, visible and no mask.
Do I need printed photos on the CUET exam day?
Yes. The 2026 bulletin asks you to bring a passport size photo, the same one you uploaded, to paste on the attendance sheet. Keep prints of the photo you upload.
Is this resizer free?
Yes. It's free, needs no account, and runs in your browser: your photo and signature are never uploaded to us.
My photo is under the minimum KB. What does the resizer do?
It first uses the highest JPEG quality. If a small, clean image is still under the minimum, it adds empty padding inside the file to reach the minimum size. The picture itself doesn't change.
Which KB does the resizer count, 1000 or 1024 bytes?
Both. Files are kept at or under the maximum counted in 1000-byte KB, and at or above the minimum counted in 1024-byte KB, so they pass either kind of check.
Can I use an AI-edited photo for an exam form?
No. Exam bodies compare your photo with you on the exam day and, in many exams, with a live photo taken in the form. Use a real, recent, unedited photo of yourself.
